Our faculty member Dr. Nur Gülümser İlker appeared as a guest on the programme "Gecenin İçinden", broadcast on TRT Radio 1 at 11.30 pm on Friday 31 July. Hosted by Selvi Karakoç and broadcast live from the Sıhhıye Radio House studios, the programme featured a discussion on the Colombian journalist and writer Gabriel García Márquez, who is regarded as a pioneer of the Magic Realism movement.

Dr. Nur Gülümser İlker, an assistant professor in the Department of Spanish Language and Literature at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Ankara University of Social Sciences, achieved a significant success at the AJP Tour Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament held in Istanbul on June 20–21, 2026. Competing in the “Master 1 - Gi - Women - Under 55 kg” category, İlker finished the tournament with a silver medal.

The book titled "Juan Valera'nın 'Ecos Argentinos' Mektuplarında İspanyol Ulusalcılığı", co-authored by Dr. Nur Gülümser İlker and Şafak Gümüş, has taken its place on the shelves.
