Considering that 6000 languages are currently spoken in the world, Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world. The aim of the Department of Spanish Language and Literature is to function as a bridge between Turkey and a large geography, between languages and cultures, which ranks eighth in terms of economic power, and to train qualified professionals and researchers who will be needed in this context.
The aim of the Department of Spanish Language and Literature is to educate students with open horizons and encourages them to be proficient in at least three languages to develop cultural and economic relations between Spanish-speaking countries and between Spain and Turkey in the context of relations with the world in general and Europe in particular. To compete in the international arena at the academic and scientific level through joint scientific studies by utilizing international funds. In addition, the department aims to achieve the most qualified position in the field among the departments in other countries and to achieve an internationally recognized and known success through Erasmus and other agreements.
